Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. She is most famous for her role as Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and won Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting while attending the Preparatory School. In the late 1970s, the family moved to Ohio. She studied theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a semester in the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago and worked in theater role for several years. Then she moved to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in movies and television shows. Anna got her first major part as Arden as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in the year 1992. She also guest-starred on the show. appeared in Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. Then it was only in the latter part of 1990 when she landed an acting role on The Practice. She starred as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler was the character she played on Breaking Bad. Sully in addition to Deadwood was another movie she was a part of. Gunn has also appeared on stage in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama Numbered days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and final break-up echoes the final years in Walter White's personal life.
